Ear Piercing Extravaganza

So.....the girls have been waiting and waiting to get their ears pierced and after lots of good behavior the day finally arrived!! We thought it would be a fun surprise for daddy when he gets back from California! It was definitely more of an adventure than I was prepared for! Ella was so brave and went first. Normally they pierce both ears at once, but since there was only one person there today, they had to do one ear at a time. That proved to be a problem for Ava. After the first ear....she was done. She said she was fine with one earring. I wasn't fine with her having just one earring. After lots of tears she got the other one done, but was slightly traumatized! When we got home, she decided that having her ears pierced wasn't so great and we ended up taking them out. She said, " Maybe I'll try again sometime when I'm older, like 6 or 10 or something like that!"



ALL DONE!

I don't think Ava really knew what to expect, but she was a trooper! There aren't any after pictures....she wasn't felling too photogenic.

Sadie got her ears done too....pretty cute! She doesn't seem to notice or care too much, she's just her happy self...now with a little sparkle!

All in all, it was an adventure!

Sadie's 1st M's game

Last night we took Sadie to her 1st official Mariner's game! (she went as an infant....but that doesn't really count) She sat through the whole game and seemed enthralled by the lights, the planes flying over Safeco field, and all of the music and clapping. It was fun to sit so close to the action...4th row seats! Matt was bummed that no foul balls came our way, but it was a fun night out on the town!

Sadie turned 1!!!

Last week we celebrated Sadie's first birthday! Her party was small, but fun, and I think her favorite part was the chocolate ice cream cake. She is officially scooting and quite proud of herself. I sense some changes coming!!!
